Every version of InvoiceOffline for macOS, what changed, and a direct download for each build. All version 1 updates are free: download the new build, open it, and your data stays right where it is.

LatestSeptember 18, 2026- Automatic backups: pick a folder or an external drive and InvoiceOffline backs up your data on a schedule, keeps the last copies, and tells you if the drive was not connected. Part of Pro; backups by hand stay free on every version
- Changing the client on an invoice now brings the currency, payment terms and due date back to your business defaults when the new client has none of their own, and leaves anything you typed by hand alone
- Recurring templates generate the first invoice when you leave the template, with every line you added, instead of a few seconds after you start typing
- Recurring templates now inherit your business notes and payment terms, a template dated the 31st stays on the 31st instead of drifting to the 28th, and a half-built template no longer produces empty drafts
- An invoice that was partly paid and sent back to Draft saves again after you change its lines, and shows the payment instead of hiding it
- Overdue aging on the Reports page now uses your own calendar, so an invoice due today is not counted as late
- The revenue chart plots one currency and says which, across all twelve months instead of only the months that had revenue
- The collapsed sidebar shows a label under each icon, and invoices, quotes, items and businesses got icons you can tell apart

September 4, 2026- Converting a quote no longer copies its notes onto the invoice: the invoice takes your business's invoice notes and payment terms, and anything you typed for that job stays
- Changing the business on an invoice or quote now updates the notes, payment terms, language and number it inherited, not just the taxes
- Clearing a name, an address or a document number no longer shows a database error, and nothing else you typed is lost
- Deleting a client or business that has quotes now says so instead of failing
- A large logo no longer breaks Export and Email
- An empty draft cannot be exported by mistake, and voiding a draft gives its free-tier slot back
- Restore keeps a copy of your data next to the file and checks the backup before touching anything; a database that cannot be opened now tells you what happened

September 2, 2026- Registration numbers can now print at the end of each tax row, the way an invoice in Quebec is expected to show separate GST and QST numbers. Set once per business, next to each tax; nothing prints until you fill them in
- French invoices and quotes now say "Facturé à", correcting "Facturer à"

August 30, 2026- Invoices and quotes can carry two taxes, each with its own name and rate. GST and QST, GST and PST, CGST and SGST: two lines, same base, each rounded on its own
- Set the tax pair once per business, and override it per client when a client is taxed differently
- The client page now asks the tax question out loud: use the business tax, no tax at all, or a rate of their own
- When some lines are tax exempt, the amount the tax was charged on now prints on its own row instead of inside the tax label
- Invoices export as two files, one with the invoices and one with every line item, so you can rebuild any total from the CSV
- The client export now includes contact person, customer number and payment defaults, and accented names survive Excel
- With more than one business, the invoice export lets you pick which one, instead of mixing them together

August 25, 2026- Due upon receipt: tick it next to the due date and the invoice prints "Upon receipt" in place of a date, while overdue tracking and reminders keep working
- Customer numbers: type a client's number once on their page and every invoice and quote for them prints it, right under the due date
- Rename the Notes section in place: click the heading and type your own, e.g. "Agreement terms"
- Rename the tax word per document: HST, GST, BTW, and the percentage stays where it is
- Countersign quotes: the approval block can carry a second signature line, so both sides sign
- Dutch invoices now label tax as BTW, the way the Belastingdienst expects

August 19, 2026- Mark any line item "no tax" and the tax is calculated only on the taxable lines: reimbursements and pass-through expenses stop inflating it. The tax row shows the base it was computed on, like Tax (13% on $500.00), and exempt lines are labeled "Tax exempt" on the PDF, in all 7 document languages
- Cleaner PDFs in dollar currencies (CAD, AUD, MXN and friends): the currency code now prints once, on the total and in the note at the bottom, instead of next to every rate and amount
- Clients can carry a contact person, printed under the company name in the Bill to block on invoices, quotes and estimates
- AI assistants pick both up through the local MCP connection: they can mark lines tax-exempt and record a client's contact person
- New businesses start with a page-number-only PDF footer (Pro). Existing businesses keep their footer as it is, and documents you've already sent keep printing exactly as they went out

August 17, 2026- Number your invoices your way: a new Invoice number format field on your business page takes a pattern like {YYYY}-{00} and your series comes out 2026-24, 2026-25. Presets to click, and a live preview that shows exactly what the next number will be, counted from your real invoices
- Series with a year in them restart on their own: on January 1 the count starts over at 1. No prefix to edit each year, nothing to remember
- The zeros in the pattern are the minimum width, not a cap: {0} prints 2026-1, {00} prints 2026-01, and both keep counting past 99 without truncating
- AI assistants pick up your format automatically when they draft through the local MCP connection, and can pass an explicit invoice number when you need to force one. A duplicate number is rejected cleanly instead of slipping into your books
- Off by default. Leave the format empty and your numbering stays exactly as it is today

August 12, 2026- Choose the columns your line items use: a new Columns button on invoices, quotes and recurring templates can add a date to every line, switch the table to Qty x Days x Rate with a multiplier column you can rename (Days, Nights, Hours, whatever your paperwork says), or drop quantity and rate entirely so each line is just a description and an amount
- Set it per document, or once per business with "Use for all new documents". Converting a quote to an invoice carries the columns and the math over exactly
- Paste a payment link on your business page and every invoice PDF prints a scannable QR code next to your payment details, with the link written out under it. Generated on your Mac, crisp at any size
- Line dates are optional per line: date the first item of a day and leave the rest blank to group them, the way photographers and rental houses lay out their invoices
- All of it is off by default. If you never touch the Columns button or the payment link, nothing about your app or your documents changes

August 10, 2026- Rename the titles on your documents: turn on custom document titles in Settings and the labels in the editor become editable, per document. "Estimate date" can say "Shoot dates", "Valid until" whatever fits the job, the big title itself too, and "Bill to" can read "Prepared for" on an estimate
- Pro: choose what the PDF footer carries for each business, your contact line or just the page number, if the contact reads redundant with the top of the document
- Both are off by default. If you don't flip the switches, nothing about your app or your documents changes

July 30, 2026- Connect an AI assistant on your Mac, like Claude or Codex, and it can work with your invoicing: look up clients and past invoices, draft and correct invoices, export PDFs, and record what was sent or paid
- It never sends email and never deletes anything, so you stay the one who reviews and sends. Everything it does appears in the app as it happens, and the invoices it created are marked as such
- Your data never leaves your Mac. The app opens no network port: the assistant reaches it through a file only your account can open, and only while the app is running
- Setting it up is a copy and a paste. Settings has the exact configuration for Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex, each in the form that one actually takes
- It works on the free plan with the same limit as the rest of the app: invoices your assistant drafts count towards your 5 a month

July 28, 2026- Estimates now read as estimates all the way through: the details block on the PDF says Estimate number and Estimate date, and the email that goes to your client calls it an estimate too, in all 7 document languages
- Quote or Estimate is chosen when you create the document, with the two buttons on the Quotes page, and stays fixed from there. A document can no longer show a title that disagrees with its own number
- Changing a business default no longer retitles documents you already created. The default now only decides which New button is highlighted
- Service period dates line up properly on the PDF: a start and end date no longer push their label out of the column, and the same goes for long payment terms and job names
- When a new version is out, the notice lists everything that changed since the version you are on, grouped by release, instead of only the newest one

- New Job field on invoices and quotes for the job name or number from your client's paperwork, shown with the document details on the PDF. The Job and service period rows can be retitled (Call sheet, Shoot dates, and so on)
- Set standard text once per business: default notes for invoices and quotes, plus default payment terms, pre-filled on every new document
- Quotes can be titled ESTIMATE instead of QUOTE, per business or per document, with EST- numbering and a New Estimate button on the Quotes page
- Cleaner invoice and quote PDFs: notes print above payment details, every page carries a footer with page numbers, and payment details or notes never split across a page break
